I was at the Stancenation meet in LA on Saturday and saw the famous blue LibertyWalk Ferrari 458, I absolutely loved the car it looked gorgeous, how does Oppo feel about it?

I mean, it's not like they're practical in the first place. To each their own I guess.

Just say no to Stance.
Period. End of discussion.

I can't speak for Oppo, but for me it just proves that money can't buy taste. YMMV.

I'm not a huge stance fan, to be honest. On one hand, why do this to a perfectly good super car? On the other hand, it already sits so low, it's not a huge deal.
Now, the Autozone bolt-on, exposed-rivet fenders, those are another story.

Meh looks ok, except the hideous fenders. Final ruling, more money than brains.

This and RWBs are so damn awful. I admire the work, just not my thang ya dig.

Well, that was a nice waste of a 458

Also do not take that as me saying I wouldn't drive the ever loving piss out of that thing

Fucking christ, I was there too!!!!!

HELLZ YA!!!!!!!! Let's make the car ride even worse, destroy is handling, and murder it's lap times! Sounds sick, bro!
Disclaimer: this is sarcasm. Stance on a supercar is almost as stupid as not wearing a seat belt.

I'm not terribly excited by new Ferraris, or concerned about the sanctity of a 458's body panels (though, I mean, hats off to Pininfarina for the accomplishment) so when a red LB 458 roared by the other day it did not rustle my jimmies — on the contrary, I thought it was cool. Saw quite a few LibertyWalk cars at the Tokyo Auto Salon last January, and to be honest others at the show were doing FAR more garish things to cars (I'm looking at you, leopard seats/leopard paint Aventador).

Ugh, how positively new money.

I don't get it. It's already low enough that stancing it won't improve performance. And I have yet to see a quantitative analysis about the visual feature set that merits appeal.

Aesthetically I don't think it is that bad... The whole point of a supercar is to have some sort of drama and panache, which this certainly delivers. I don't even mind the bolt-on flares; they are a matter of taste, and I am sure there are just as many people who think this is a perfect work of art as there are who think it is an abomination.
That said, I have never really gotten the idea of stanced sportscars or supercars. You take a car that was designed to handle well, and you undermine its ability to corner or go over a speed bump for the sake of aesthetics. The whole idea of stanced supercars puts form above function, which, again, in terms of pure aesthetics, I have no problem with. But this being a fairly practical person myself, I have always valued function over form. I don't know if I would want to sacrifice the handling of a car that was built for speed and performance for the sake of appearances, especially after buying a car well north of 100K. Every one to his own, though. The feeling that the owner gets from his car is the most important thing, whether that be from appearance or performance, so I find it hard to judge any car disdainfully

I think it's the automotive equivalent of a woman about to go running and putting on high heels. You will fantastic but be utterly useless in what you are trying to accomplish.
I put function over form.

Meh, all supercars being produced now are just so blah. don't really care one way or the other.

If you're going to deliberately make a car slow, use a slow car to begin with.

Not a fan. These may work like the RWB cars do on glass-smooth Japanese circuits, but for the rest of us, I can't see the improvement over stock. The tacked-on fenders cease to look functional on a supercar as they do on someone's autocross Miata that reaches far lower top speeds. Here, the rivets just look like an aerodynamic disadvantage, and like the owner cheaped out on an otherwise stellar car.
Not my aesthetic. Nope. Not at all.
